The recent case of a woman in Knutsford, B.C. selling puppies online should serve as a warning to anyone searching for a dog through online classified ads. She was already facing multiple charges of animal cruelty in relation to running an alleged puppy mill in 2009, and has now violated her bail conditions, which prohibited her from breeding and selling dogs. Puppy mills are breeding operations where dogs are confined in horrendous conditions, producing as many puppies as possible at the least expense. Sadly, they exist and thrive because people continue to buy their ‘products’. Don’t be one of them!
